There’s something very romantic about sending letters in the mail. I’m not sure if it’s the old-fashioned feel that comes along with it or the fact that I’ve watched The Notebook one too many times, but I absolutely love sending letters to Jay!
Since he moved to the Netherlands at the beginning of last month we’ve written letters back and forth to each other (I’m expecting his second one to arrive sometime this week)! My heart always flutters when I open my mailbox and find a letter from him. I rarely get any mail at all, so I love any kind of mail…but getting a letter from Jay is by far the best!
So of course when I heard that LDRBN wanted to try their own letter challenge I was beyond excited for it. What makes this challenge especially awesome is that I can use my Tiny Mail Kit to write a letter! (You can check out my full review on the kit here). Ever since I received the kit I’ve been trying to put it to good use. There’s something very relaxing about writing tiny letters because it takes so much focus.
The most difficult part of this challenge was trying to find a short and sweet message to write. Jay and I aren’t really into the “mushy” romantic thing, so this was actually a challenge for me! So instead of writing a tiny love letter I decided to make some tiny love “letter” drawings. I think Jay will like these more than a cheesy letter anyway!
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed drawing them
Simpsons inspired: I grew up watching the Simpsons. I haven’t watched the show in a long time, but there are some episodes/moments that I can never forget. This tiny love letter drawing was inspired by one of those moments.
Shrek Inspired: Jay and I love animated movies. He actually quotes Shrek with one line in particular quite often….and it’s not even that notable of a line! I decided to do a drawing related to one of my favorite lines (because we also both like waffles)!
Finding Nemo inspired: Mine!? Mine!? Miiiiiiiine?! I’m pretty darn happy to have Jay as my boyfriend. MINE!
Up inspired: Jay and I love traveling together and going on different adventures!
I had so much fun with this challenge! I’m not too creative with words in love letters (the letters I write to Jay are often just recaps of my life for that week) so I chose to make tiny love drawings instead.
I invite you all to participate in the challenge with me! Write a tiny love letter to your SO to help prove that sometimes even the tiniest things can make you smile! Be sure to post your tiny love letters in the comments below or send me an email to scheerio22@gmail and I’ll feature your tiny love letter in an upcoming blog post.
I can’t wait to see your tiny love letters ❤
