This past Saturday I ran my second-ever half marathon. I had tried to run a little more frequently than I did last year before my first one, but still had only made it up to a 4.5 mile run prior to my race this year. So to say that this past Saturday was a struggle is an understatement. Running 13.1 miles is no easy feat, especially without the proper training (or, in my case, very little training at all). Luckily for me, I learned the importance of challenging myself even at a young age. As Joshua J. Marine once said:
Challenges are what makes life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful.
