My Monthly Three: November Edition

Another month has passed and it’s time to reflect on my goals. Can’t remember my October Goals? That’s okay, I couldn’t either until I checked back to my old post.

In October I had three goals to really help my health. I wanted to drink less alcohol, eat out less, and read more books. It’s pretty hard for me to gauge a difference between October and other months, but I think I did make some progress in each of these categories. I didn’t go out to the bars as frequently, I made a strong effort to bring my own lunch to work, and I actually completed reading one book. Not the most successful month for goals, but at least I’m headed in the right direction!

For November I have some really big goals:

Actually study for the first actuarial exam. This something I’ve gone back and forth with way too much within the past year. I’ve finally decided that I need to make a choice and stick with it. I’m going to study for this exam and I’m going to take it in March. It’s recommended to study for at least 100 hours per hour of the exam, so I need to study a minimum of 300 hours for this one test. It’s also not uncommon to fail these exams each at least once. I need to make sure I’m well prepared…wish me luck!

Take Advantage of My Gym Membership. I belong to a gym for some reason. For as long as I can remember I’ve hated gyms. I’m not sure if it’s because there’s no fresh air or that I constantly feel like I’m being judged. Either way, I don’t like it. But now I have a year-long contract for the gym that’s just going to waste. Starting tomorrow I plan to go to the gym bright and early before work, since I always get discouraged by the crowds of judgmental eyes later in the day.

Increase Blog Traffic. I’ve been posting to my blog semi-frequently, but I really want to take it to the next level. I want to boost my traffic and increase my reader base. I love all of my readers and want to spread my LDR journey even further.

  1. Everyone seems to have the same goals this month! But I’m with you. I have a gym membership that only get used once a week. I want to try to make it a point to wake up earlier, go gym then go to work. so hard but I think we both can do it!
