I Want to Know YOU

Hi, friends!

I realized that I don’t know a lot of you all that well. Some of you have really awesome blogs and I want to learn more about you. Comment below with a little bit about yourself! Here are some questions for inspiration:

What made you start your blog?

How long have you been blogging?

What’s your favorite post/photo on your blog?

What types of food do you enjoy?

Do you like sports?

What’s your favorite genre of music?

Regardless of what you share with me I’m sure I will love it! I can’t wait to get to know you more…Here are my answers to the above questions so you can learn a little bit more about me as well:

I started my blog as a way to vent my thoughts and concerns about my LDR. I’ve been seriously blogging for almost a year and a half now. One of my favorite posts on my blog would have to be Strong Has Always Been Beautiful. You want to know what foods I enjoy? Well I enjoy most of them, but you can find pictures of actual food that I have cooked and or eaten in Free Spirit Award acceptance post. I love sports….playing sports and watching them! My favorite genre of music is probably electronic. I really love the beats of some DJs. I’ll listen to almost any type of music, but I’m not the biggest fan of rap.

How about you?:)

  1. This is actually great, Christie! Knowing your followers better. And since I am already here, here is a little about me and the blogging world. 🙂

I started blogging because I wanted to store some of my photos and some memorable things that had happened in my life. I started blogging around 2009, wasn’t really serious about it, until 2011. Switched blogging platforms until I met someone who became the main subject of the blog. Around that time, the blogging began to switch about love and a bit of personal. Now, about the favorite post, most likely whatever my wordpress blog has are my favorites, but my favorite of all favorite would be: my post about Fears of a LDRer .. And now, fast foreward to 2015, I am likely enjoy blogging because it simply makes me happy. I don’t know why, but it does make me feel better and at ease. 🙂

    1. Thanks for the reply, Kristine! I love all of your photos and that’s such a great reason to start blogging. I remember when you initially posted Fears of a LDRer. I loved it back then and I’ll still love it! I’m so glad that blogging makes you happy. It really is such an amazing thing for…stress relief, expression, creative thinking, etc….it makes me happy too 🙂 Thank you for taking the time to share some things about yourself!

  2. As I have just started following your blog recently, it’s probably in my best interest that I make myself known. 🙂

What made you start your blog? — I’ve blogged in the past but this is the first time I’m taking it “seriously.” Since I was a child, I’ve always liked to write. My day job doesn’t allow for much creative writing, so I view my blog as a good outlet for that. Where it takes me? We shall see.

How long have you been blogging? — I’ve had this current blog for over a month now. Before that, I kept blogs off-and-on for, let’s say, 6 years?

What’s your favorite post/photo on your blog? — I don’t have muuuuch to choose from, but I was really proud of how this turned out. It stemmed from a personal experience so it was easy (and even cathartic) to write: http://mondaydiaries.com/2015/10/19/5-tips-from-a-recovering-perfectionist/

What types of food do you enjoy? — Cheesesteaks (the food of my people), Japanese cuisine, and select Irish sweets.

Do you like sports? — I’m a huge hockey fan. (Flyers suck right now, though.) I participate in martial arts, if that counts.

What’s your favorite genre of music? — I’m an open book when it comes to this, so it’s hard to peg one.

To add a question, what brought me to *your* blog? — I saw your posts on LDRs and found them to be interesting. It’s something I’m going through myself so I like reading about how others cope with the distance. Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!

    1. Thank you for introducing yourself!!! I also loved writing as a kid, but didn’t know what I could do with it until I started blogging.
6 years, wow! I think it’s great that you’ve gotten back into it more seriously now 🙂
That post is great! Too often people get stuck in a sour mood once they’ve had a bad day. I love the advice you give in that post, especially that it’s okay to suck! So many times we strive for perfection, but nobody prepares us for failure (which I believe is inevitable).
My mouth just watered…Cheesesteaks…yummmmmmm!!! I need to go back to Philly for a visit 🙂
Martial Arts definitely count! I’ve always thought they were really cool to watch. I haven’t gotten into hockey as much, but I want to start.
Music is a tough one…there are just so many options!
Thank you for the added question. I always like to know how people find me. LDRs are tough, but I usually try to shine a more positive light on them. I really love reading your posts too! Can’t wait to see what you’ll write next.
Thanks again for stopping by 🙂
