EPN Love Challenge: Day Seven

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone! Whether you saw your SO in person or apart (like me) I hope you had a special day. I’ll be sure to tell you all about it, but first…it’s the last day of my EPN Love Challenge! It’s time to show you my Valentine’s loot. πŸ™‚

Jay and I sent each other packages in the mail this year and we wanted to make sure they arrived on time. Unfortunately, they shipped a little too quickly and we couldn’t resist…we opened them 5 days early, oops!

If you buy me food I will always love it. Jay sent me stroopwafels (and they’re the really good kind from his hometown), a giant bag of licorice, and these delicious cookies iced with a sugary coffee flavor.Β

Say cheeeeeese! I have a slightly unhealthy obsession with cheese and I didn’t own one of these cheese slicers before. They’re really hand for making grilled cheese and other recipes with cheese. I can’t wait to try it out!Β

Bling bling bling! Jay is probably more picky about jewelry than I am so I know that it must have taken him quite a bit of time to pick this. The chain he bought is long, which I really like, but the rings of the necklace don’t fall correctly with the longer chain. I swapped it out for a shorter one that I already have and it looks great! It reminds me of the olympic rings. πŸ™‚Β

Jay and I had such a great time opening our presents that he suggested sending each other packages more often, not just for holidays. Just watching Jay open his present was a ton of fun. As part of his present I made him a scrapbook of our memories through the years we’ve known each other and he seemed really happy with it!

What did you get for Valentine’s Day from your SO? What did you give them? Did you see them in person this year or did you have a Skype date like us? I’d love to hear all about your Valentine’s gift exchange!
