My Monthly 3: March


Wait….it’s March already?! Time flies this time of year! Let’s take a look back at my goals for February and see how well I did with them….

For a short month, I actually accomplished quite a bit! My first goal was to adopt a healthy lifestyle. I can honestly say that I’ve been to the gym more often than in the past (still only two or three times to week) and I have been eating healthier! I try to get more rest than usual and have really focused on my own well-being. I’d count this one a success!

That leads me to the second February goal: focus on me. February was a huge month for this! In the past few months I’ve felt myself slipping away. I haven’t accomplished a lot of the things I hoped to in 2015 and I really needed to re-evaluate. Luckily I was able to enjoy myself more this past month. I chose to do things I actually wanted to do and avoided things I didn’t particularly care for…it’s so much easier said than done, but I think I did pretty well at it.

Sadly, I fell short on my last goal for February so I’m making it my first goal for March as well!

Make a Blogging Schedule. I’m starting to fall behind in posts and I feel really bad about it. I love sharing my thoughts with you lovely people and I need to be more consistent with writing. During March I will develop some sort of blogging schedule or plan so I can post a minimum of 3 posts per week without feeling overwhelmed!

Be More Consistent at Work. Speaking of not getting overwhelmed…work has gotten a bit more crazy during the past couple of weeks. There’s just so much to do and I feel myself falling behind. I need to take a deep breath, prioritize my tasks, and develop a more efficient system for completing my work. Right now my response to getting more assignments seems to be “Ain’t nobody got time for that!” and I don’t think that’s a great sign for the month to come…

Drink More Water. This was a goal of mine in the past, but I’m starting to feel more dehydrated lately. I think the increase of exercise has left me needing more water than I realize!

  1. These are great goals! As of yesterday, I have decided to really hit the gym and change my eating habits (vacation on the beach is coming up!). One thing that has helped me is to create different vision boards with images, photos, and quotes that represent your goal and what you are trying to achieve. I keep these taped in my bathroom by the mirror so it’s a constant reminder and motivation boost. Good luck this month!

    1. Thank you! I think a vision board is such a great idea. I’ve sadly never found the time to make one myself, but I should really make an effort to find motivation. Hopefully I can be as successful this month as I was in February! Thank you for your kind words of encouragement. I need all the support I can get. 🙂
