I have been out of my blogging groove a little bit lately because I’ve started taking more time for myself. This has been a goal of mine in the last couple of months and I’m finally starting to see changes. I have really been able to relax my mind and destress more than ever before in my life. I’ve stopped feeling guilty for ditching social gatherings. And I’ve started to feel happier overall. Over the next month I want to improve myself even more.
Goal 1: Maintain My Fitness Regimen
Over the past month I’ve become significantly more active and I want to keep it that way. This is something that I’ve struggled with since I live on my own and don’t always have enough energy to motivate myself. With a 5k scheduled next week and a half marathon a month away I need to speed up my training and get my body strong enough to compete!
Goal 2: Stick to Meal Prep
Last week I tried meal prepping for the first time. I made 3 days worth of food and it made my days so much better! I was in a happier mood because I didn’t have to go through the hassle of cooking food and cleaning dishes every night. It also helped me save money since I wasn’t going out for lunch during the work day and I was using food I already bought instead of letting it go to waste. I’ve also been eating healthier meals because I make them myself. Meal prep is a new practice for me, but I hope to stick with it.
Goal 3: Get Organized
Between work, studying for my first actuarial exam, and preparing for my sister’s wedding I have a lot of pressure. It’s difficult to find motivation for everything each day and I can sometimes feel myself falling behind. Getting organized is a huge commitment. It takes days, weeks, even months to fully organize each aspect of your life. I’ve made some effort to clean my apartment, plan out meals, and create a study plan but there is a lot of room for improvement.
Getting organized, preparing meals, and sticking to a fitness routine will help me adopt a positive lifestyle. I want to be the happiest and healthiest that I can be in life to make sure I get the most out of it.
